Where are bearings used

Plain bearings are used in some situations where it is not possible, inconvenient or advantageous to use rolling bearings, such as at extremely high working speed, large impact and vibration, radial space size is limited or must be partially installed (such as crankshaft bearings), and need to work in water or corrosive media. Therefore, plain bearings are widely used in rolling machines, steam turbines, internal combustion engines, railway locomotives and vehicles, metal chip cutting machines, aircraft engine accessories, radar and other applications.

Application characteristics of plain bearings:

1. Bearings with high working speed

2. The supporting position of the shaft is required to be particularly accurate and the rotation accuracy is high

3. Extra-heavy bearing

4. bearing to withstand huge impact and vibration

5. according to the assembly requirements must be made into split bearings

6. the required bearing space size hours

7. some special working conditions: water, mud, corrosive medium.
