What is Roncan white graphite used for?

Graphite is a non-metallic material, a crystalline body of carbon, the appearance is silver gray or black solid or powder, the texture is softer, with metallic luster, and the hardness is higher, so our company uses graphite as a lubricant to make self-lubricating bearings in large quantities to reduce the cost of manual maintenance.

In addition to the common black graphite, in fact, our company also has a kind of white graphite, which is not hexagonal boron nitride but a composite material —— PTFE + carbon fiber + molybdenum disulfide.

Polytetrafluoroethylene (abbreviated as PTFE), also known as Teflon, commonly known as "plastic king", is a polymer made by polymerization of tetrafluoroethylene as a monomer, with excellent heat resistance and cold resistance, and can be used for a long time at -180~260ºC. This material is resistant to acids and alkalis, various organic solvents, and is almost insoluble in all solvents. At the same time, PTFE is resistant to high temperatures, and its coefficient of friction is very low, so it can be used for lubrication, and it is because of its various properties that we have mixed PTFE as our main lubricating ingredient with other materials to obtain our white graphite, a special lubricant used in marine machinery environments.

Roncan white graphite copper sleeve is used in ships, which is not easy to cause chemical reaction and corrosion in the high salt chemical environment of seawater, which can prolong its service life. This bearing combines the respective advantages of metal matrix and specially formulated lubricating materials, and breaks through the limitations of general bearings relying on oil film lubrication.
